Summer group show at Stolen space: various artists

One more time, Stolen space has put together a remarkable show. Group shows are so rich in diversity by definition and therefore always please a large number of people.

Mixed media on cotton paper, oil on linen canvas, screen print, acrylics, spray paint, cut book 3D collages,… the choice of medias and mediums is immense. How not to find a piece you like? Impossible.

Amongst recognizable pieces such as the silkscreen and mixed media collage on paper from Shepard Fairey, you find yourself looking at works which if not inspiring you, are just Piece of Art. You wonder how long Alexander Korzer spent to put together these wonderful cut book 3D collages – amazing piece of precision and a great attention to detail.

‘Rocketeers’ from Chloe Early (oil on linen canvas) draws your attention. Abstract painting admirers, The Hades Shot from Mr Jado is for you while the work from Kid Acne, a series of screen print and hand nished collage on wood tiles shine for its uniqueness.

Hard to miss what proudly stands right in the middle of the gallery – ‘O_scar (Beauty Is Only Skin Deep)’ by D*Face (Cold Poured Metal & Resin, Gold Dusted & Hand Painted With Enamels) which again demonstrates the extent of this artist’s skills and talent.

A special mention to ‘Wading’ by James Alexander Burbidge (Mixed Media On Cotton Paper> and to ‘Frenchie’ from Miss Van (acrylic on paper) depicting what seems an angry women.

Anger is certainly not the feeling you get after visiting this group show, fullness is will be probably more accurate.

This show runs until the 25/07, you do not want to miss it.
