Bristol born artist Banksy has been at it big time in America and have left his mark in various towns and cities across America – Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, Los Angeles and Toronto.
This is what of those shows that when you hear about them, the automatic and systematic next thing you do is to pencil that in your diary in a big font.
Now’s The Time exhibition at Black Rat gallery is an impressive group show, a sort of retrospective of what Street Art has been in the past few years and what it will be for years to come: getting more and people liking it.
Last time I went to see an exhibition with this sort of line-up, the Lock Up exhibition for those who would like to read about it, the stuff I saw was pretty good and would actually most probably please any one into stencils, spray paint or hip hop so I was pretty eager to get down there.
I knew I would not be disappointed when I heard about the Lock Up exhibition and disappointed I wasn’t, oh no, I was overwhelmed.
By the way, that event happened last year (20th Nov till 10th Dec 2009), yes I know it is a bit late to report on it but I never got round to do it before today…
