We were very impressed about 2 years ago when we stumbled upon the stop motion video from Tobias Stretch called Lucia a mesmerizing work, creepy at times but beautifully crafted throughout. Have a look at the video.
Tobias has produced another wonderfully surreal in his latest video where we follow a girl and her encounters with all around strange big face character. Sit back and watch and let you immerse.
Meet Alexa Meade. He creates amazing series of living graffiti art but the twist is that he masters the ability of using actual people made to look like they belong in their 2D graffiti background.
No need to say that the level of careful painting and attention to detail is huge here but it works pretty awesomely to turns three dimensional figures into two dimensional figures. All participants are painted in black and white and cleverly get tangled in the explosive and coloured backgrounds and the illusion of they are part of the static art is achieved.

‘So It Goes…’ features new work from the artist’s notorious and much sought after Pulp Fiction series, which explores the porous boundary between reality and fiction. The duo have created an exclusive collection of original hand painted Pulp Fiction paperbacks, original canvas works and hand painted limited editions that reflect their interest in how our understanding of the world is formed by the narratives we tell about it.
Following a series of sell out exhibitions from Los Angeles to Sydney, these internationally acclaimed artists are back in London with not only a new body of work, but a new cause – the foundation on an NGO in association with the artists’ friends and collaborators Pussy Riot. The new show will combine reality and fiction with an installation detailing their experiences in ‘The Jungle’ refugee camp in Calais. Hang-Up will be releasing a third limited edition charity print to raise further funds to build additional shelters when they return to The Jungle with Pussy Riot in December.

Last time Shepard Fairey had a show in London was five years ago and it was already with Stolen Space. In the meantime, the artist enjoyed a ever growing popularity so crowd are expected to pile up at the preview on the 19th October 2012.
This show is entitled Sound & Vision and will see Shepard Fairey collaborates with Z-Trip to supply the soundtrack to the artwork. We are told that the new works will include mixed media paintings on canvas, works on paper, retired stencils collages, rubylith cuts, and as well as serigraphs on wood, metal and paper.
Producer and DJ, Z-Trip has created a soundtrack that is meant to translate musically Shepard Fairey’s art vision. Z-Trip comments “Shepard does visually what I do musically“. A nice touch from the artist : he provided records from his own collection as well as customised vintage turntables to enable viewer listening. This section of the show is complemented by a display of seventy-two works, which are inspired by the 12 inch LP sleeve cover.
The artist will therefore use both sound and vision to connect with his audience.
Sound & Vision, the exhibition title is taken from the David Bowie song of the same name so we have included the video clip below.

Okuda (Spain) and Remed (France) have renewed the symbolic sculpture located in the vineyards of the winery Campo Viejo in La Rioja, Spain this past week. The work entitled “A Bridge Between Sky and Earth” pictured by the artists was built in 2013 and became an icon for the wineries. Three years later, the sculpture is reborn with a new look, colourful and vibrant with the unmistakable graphic line of the two artists.
The renewed appearance of this large public artwork, more than six meters high, is a celebration of the Campo Viejo Wineries with the art and this intense collaboration of the two artists.
The fourth limited edition label of Campo Viejo Art Series range signed by Okuda and Remed, will be presented with the image of the sculpture as well.
Over the past four years we have had the opportunity to witness how this duo of artists, Remed and Okuda, has gradually created a lot of artwork and participated in several places around the world teaming up with Campo Viejo.
Places as diverse as Mexico, Miami, Toronto, Warsaw, Madrid, London, Oslo, Zurich, Brussels, Dublin… have hosted the multiple stops of the Streets of Color, Rioja winery project in which the two urban artists have created a recognizable style in which the bright colors and geometric shapes intertwine in a unique way. “It is like a third artist were born from the collaboration of our two styles.” Remed says.
This ongoing collaborative journey between Okuda & Remed with the Campo Viejo winemakers celebrates the expressive nature of the wines and the sculpture in the vineyards was the first work and starting point for all other collaborations that have emerged on the edge of the years between the renowned Pernod Ricard brand and the two artists.
The artistic collaboration is managed by the cultural enterprise Nobulo since 2012.
Remed (Paris, 1978) is an expressive French Artist based in Madrid who is well known for his bold use of shapes and colour and large-scale murals. He started painting in 1995 in the privacy of his studio in his home town of Lille, but felt limited by a canvas framework so quickly moved his art to the streets.
Born in Santander, Spain, in 1980 and based in Madrid, Okuda is a passionate and internationally renowned Urban Artist.
Okuda has developed over the years a unique style of artistic expression characterized as “pop-surrealism meets Urban Art”. He uses geometric, bright-coloured abstract shapes with interplay of grey bodies and organic forms to depict contradictions about existentialism, the fake freedom of capitalism, the war between humans and themselves, and the meaning of life.
Since 2002, Okuda has received international recognition and now gets invited to participate in group shows and art events across the world. He has showcased his work at over 56 exhibitions and his portfolio expands a range of mediums from conceptual mixed media installations and mixed media canvas to mural paintings and Street Art.
Ever since two local winemakers – Beristain and Ortigüela – created the first vintage in 1959, Campo Viejo has represented the expressiveness, colour and vibrancy of Rioja.
The Rioja winemaking region is situated in the north of Spain, in the heart of the Ebro valley. It’s the most important Spanish wine region and in its heart lies Campo Viejo.Campo Viejo’s winemakers work hard to ensure that Campo Viejo wines are the very best expressions of contemporary Rioja, conveying the vibrancy of the region in a way that is in keeping with the expressive, fruit-driven style which today’s wine drinkers are actively seeking.

we’ve all seen dirty trucks or cars, I mean covered with muds or dust and we probably did not think more of it.
Nikita Golubev, a Russian, sees these trucks and cars as a canvas and, with a set of brushes, will turn dirtiness into awesomeness.

An impressive bunch of artists are taking part and have crafted their own egg. Just to mention a few – Nick & Rob Carter, The Chapman Brothers, Anony Micallef. The artist, with the help of Wooden Horse London (www.woodenhorselondon.com), a new bespoke design and fabrication company in Hackney, is what she says about her artwork:
“The Golden Egg was born from my desire to understand where and how beauty is perceived in the artefacts we create. Stemming from an interest in the human need to create pleasing visual proportions within the things we construct and the seemingly contrasting chaotic driving forces of nature, the Golden egg is an example of mathematics within nature, and nature within rigid form. Built upon the Fibonacci series and the golden ratio, every curve within the Golden Egg portrays both precision and elegance. It looks to demonstrate that the inventions of mankind will always be dictated to by nature, a beautiful framework within which we are all held.”
